We miss you! Some of the ‘stay at home’ restrictions should be lifting soon and we can gather at our regular leadership times.
It is so disappointing to have the Orca Encampment cancelled in June. We are hopeful that we will be able to resume our summer activities with leadership retreats in July. Check this web page each Thursday to get updates. We are making plans for some great times together.
For now, what should your response be to COVID-19?
Protect others: You can carry the virus and not have symptoms, therefore infecting others. Don’t go out with your friends. You could be exposed and bring it home to your family.
Protect yourself: Use a mask when going to public places like the store. If you run a fever, have a dry cough, or shortness of breath, tell your parents. Practice social distancing. Wash your hands, then wash your hands again! (So important)
"What do leadership boys do during these unprecedented times?” Call people you know to say “I’m calling because I care about you and want to know you are okay.” (Do this a lot) Offer to assist those that are having a difficult time with the ‘stay at home’ order (safely, of course). Conform to the four phases as outlined by Washington State.
Finally, read your Bible. We suggest the book of Romans, starting with Romans 8:35-39. “For I am certain that nothing can separate us from His love…there is nothing in all creation that will ever be able to separate us from the love of God which is ours through Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Text Greg, Kathy, or Zachary if you read this blog. We want to know you are getting it.
